Adrienne Leussa is a business development, strategic partnerships and commercial strategy leader with more than 10 years’ experience driving growth, market expansion and partnership-led scale across Africa, EMEA and international markets.

With a PhD in Biochemistry and an MBA, Adrienne brings together two worlds that don’t always speak the same language: deep technical expertise and sharp commercial thinking. Her career has seen her work across life sciences, diagnostics, biotechnology, health technology and other highly regulated environments, helping organisations turn complex science, technology and innovation into viable commercial opportunities.

Fluent in English, French and Portuguese, Adrienne has worked across Africa, Europe, North and South America, and the Middle East. She has led high-value partnership negotiations, supported new market entry and regional expansion, and worked alongside CEOs, executive teams, boards and investors navigating growth, change and complex decision-making.

Her experience spans strategic partnerships and alliances, go-to-market strategy, revenue growth, international expansion and the alignment of technical, regulatory and commercial teams. She is particularly skilled at operating in environments where there is no simple answer — and where good leadership requires sound judgement, resilience and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

Alongside her commercial leadership work, Adrienne is the founder of Supercharged Humans, a leadership and performance platform supporting senior leaders and founders to perform sustainably in high-pressure growth environments. Through this work, she explores the very human side of leadership: decision-making, resilience, energy, performance and navigating the trade-offs that come with ambition and growth.

This combination of scientist, strategist and performance practitioner gives Adrienne a distinctive perspective as a speaker and facilitator. She is equally comfortable unpacking complex business challenges with executives or engaging audiences around what it takes to lead, grow and perform when the pressure is on.

And she certainly doesn’t believe high performance has to mean becoming one-dimensional. Outside the boardroom, Adrienne is a committed fitness enthusiast, budding DJ and adventure seeker who balances the pace with yin yoga, reading and social dancing.
