Always in huge demand, our traditional African tribal shows showcase a variety of cultures.
The styles highly entertaining – each more-so than the previous!
The Xhosas, inherent to the Cape perform the Umtyityimbo dance which serves to highlight the shaking of their chests (breasts) while whistling, stick-fighting and singing Amagwijo. The tribe perform their harmonious song and dance, inter-alia celebrating the circumcision of young men and a vast variety of meaningful songs, all depicting specific events…happiness, sadness, marriage, birth and death.
The Zulu tribe are known for their warrior chants and their famous Indlame dance – the high step (in which it is forbidden to bend the knees), and the slapping of their feet and bums to the ground, while songs of victory.
The Tswana tribe are known for their rhythmic depiction of animal movements – the lion, the snake, the leopard, the rock rabbit…
This entertaining programme is ended with the entire team taking to the stage and inviting the participation of the audience as, together they sing the Shosholoza Song, depicting South Africa’s Spirit of Togetherness.
